Just like having a skincare regiment, taking care of your hair should also be a priority. I've noticed after a haircut my hair feels absolutely amazing, but why can't it always feel like that? After searching and trying different products, I finally found products that make me feel like I'm leaving the salon.
Function Beauty Shampoo and Conditioner: Function Beauty has become a brand that I absolutely love. If you don't remember my post from awhile back (click here to check it out), I started using Function Beauty when my hair was at its worst. Have you ever felt like your hair might get used the products after years of using the same products. Hair is similar as the skin because it takes in nutrients from what is in your products. The best part about this Function Beauty, your formula is based on your current five hair needs. For example, my current hair needs are oil control, color protection, volume, deep condition and soothe scalp. My needs have changed multiple times and I'm given an option to change my formula when I reorder.I've noticed my hair changing the last several times I've ordered and feels nourished.
Kristen Ess Purple Shampoo: This product was a new addition to my hair routine, but I only use once or twice a week. With having blonde hair, it's common for the hair to become brassy if are overdue for a touch up. It should be no surprise that I still use Kristen Ess products because she is down right the hair guru! How I use this product is simple. I will use this shampoo first since purple shampoo sometimes make my hair super tangled after use. I scrub it into my roots and ends, then wash it out. After getting all the shampoo out, I will use my Function Beauty shampoo. She also sells Purple Conditioner, but I like to just like to use the shampoo since conditioner really helps with my tangles.
Kristen Ess Blow Dry Mist: I'm not the type of person, who likes to wait on my hair to be blow dried. I rather blow dry it a little to the point where I'm not dripping. This blow dry mist changed the game for me. I was able to blow dry my hair in less time (especially using the new blow dryer Kristen Ess just released- another blog for another time). After one use of this product, my hair felt so soft after one blow dry. Usually my hair feels fried and heavy, but this product fixed it immediately. Apparently in this small bottle, it adds an epic shine to your hair.
Bumble and Bumble Hold Hairspray: Did you think it would be another Kristen Ess product? Sorry to end the trend so quickly. Whenever I curl my hair, I need a hairspray that will hold the curl, otherwise it's gone in an hour. I also don't want a hairspray that makes my hair feel crunchy and hard. Bumble and Bumble Hold Hairspray feels like I have nothing holding my curls in place. My hair still looks the same before I sprayed hairspray. This bottle also lasts a long time and it only take a couple of sprits to make sure the curls last all day. When spraying, don't forget to do a couple sprits underneath just to get the under curls.
Bumble and Bumble Dry Shampoo (Nourishing): I keep going back and forth on different dry shampoos because most of the time they don't work on my hair. I'm not sure if it's because it's so dry in Denver, but my hair can only handle one day of not being washed. Disappointing to say the least. I've tried to train my hair to go longer, but yet to no prevail. This dry shampoo has helped when I decide to put my hair up on one of those days. I'm not completely sold on it, but it's the closest I've gotten to not having completely gross hair. Also with the nourishing formula, it's suppose to help nourish my ends and scalp.

Some might look hair as just being hair, but I think your hair also shows your identity and how you portray yourself. Having my hair feeling soft and oil free, makes me feel amazing about myself. I say it's worth it and you're worth it too.
